Rockford is a play area that is ideal for big play spaces with a diverse group of children of varying ages and abilities. Aspects of it will appeal to children of all ages, including school-aged and preschool-aged children, and it includes broad open areas and a plethora of routes that will allow big groups of children to explore it without difficulty. The vast rotunda space, which is situated under the massive Hex Roof, is the building's most notable feature. This area offers adequate space for a large number of children to congregate, interact, or wait in line for the two 4-foot slides that begin in this location. This section also contains a metal Ribbon Climber, which is an unorthodox vertical climber that may be used to get to the slides in a shorter amount of time.
